Who I am
My name is Hiranthi Nilusha Kalansooriya, and this blog reflects my CV and professional journey. I share my education, work experience, and learning experiences that shaped my career.
I started in banking in 2010 as a
Banking Assistant at DFCC Bank, building skills in customer service, counter
operations, cash handling, and teamwork. Working with customers taught me
communication, patience, and responsibility.
In 2015, I was promoted to
Pawning Officer, gaining experience in gold assaying, pawning transactions,
redemptions, and the management of overdue accounts. I also supported promotional
activities, improving decision-making and attention to detail.
In 2018, I became the Officer in Charge at DFCC Bank, responsible for transactions, cash and ATM balancing, clearing operations, staff supervision, and ensuring branch efficiency. Leading a team developed my leadership, motivation, and accountability.
Alongside work, I focused on
learning, earning a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Institute of
Bankers of Sri Lanka as an Associate Member. I am currently pursuing an MBA at
London Metropolitan University to enhance my leadership, strategy, and management
skills.
This blog is my CV and journey, my growth, learning, and goals. I aim to share my experiences, lessons, and future ambitions as I continue to grow professionally.
