My Education and Learning Journey

Education has always been a vital part of my life and career. Each stage of my learning has contributed to my personal and professional growth, preparing me for the responsibilities I hold today.

I earned my GCE Ordinary Level in 2005 and GCE Advanced Level in 2009 in biology. Although I did not pursue a career in science, this background instilled discipline, logical thinking, and the ability to study diligently and consistently.

When I entered the banking sector, I realised that experience alone was insufficient. I needed formal knowledge to advance. Consequently, I completed a Diploma in Banking and Finance at the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. This qualification deepened my understanding of banking systems, customer service, credit, finance, and risk management. Becoming an Associate Member of IBSL was a proud milestone.

My learning journey continued as I aspired to take on leadership and management roles. I enrolled in an MBA programme at London Metropolitan University, which covers strategic management, leadership, finance, marketing, and organisational behaviour. This education broadens my thinking beyond banking, positioning me as a future leader.

My educational path reflects my dedication to lifelong learning. I believe that continuous learning fosters ongoing growth in your career, confidence, and beyond in the future.
